Q: In a few sentences, tell me about yourself.


A: "I was born in Winchester but moved to Lexington when I was nine years old. I moved back to Winchester in the early 1980's and have lived in the same location since that time. I worked at local Rockwell plant and when it closed I returned to school obtain my teaching degree and various administration degrees at Eastern Kentucky University and Georgetown College. I taught high school for five years before moving to central office positions retiring as superintendent with twenty-seven years in the education profession. I currently spend my retirement volunteering and serving on various local nonprofit boards."

A: "Active, optimistic, flexible"

A: "Yes"

A: "Dog"

A: "Fall"

A: "44 years"

A: "Volunteering"

A: "N/A"

A: "Woody’s"

A: "Parks and Recreation, Leeds Theater"


Q: In what ways are you involved in the community?


A: "Volunteering at local nonprofits, serving on local nonprofit boards."


Q: What, in your opinion, makes Winchester-Clark County a unique or special place to live?


A: "Small town feel with friendly people. Our local parks are a real bonus."


Q: If you were going to introduce someone to Winchester-Clark County for the first time, what places, faces or activities would you tell them not to miss?
